On this day in 1968 Actor Gary Coleman was born in Zion Ohio.  Gary starred as Arnold Jackson on NBC’s TV sitcom Different Strokes from 1978-1986.  In 1989 he sued his parents and business manager for skimming money from him. The case was finally settled after 4 years.  He was not only short in stature but he found out that he was short when it came to his funds.

On this day in 1986 Oprah Winfrey became the first black woman to host a nationally syndicated talk show, and she’s still talking!

On this day in 1986 this guy proved that big things come in small packages.  Spud Webb standing in at 5’7” for the Atlanta Hawks won the NBA All Star Weekend at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.
