Today Bill Cosby received a three to 10 year sentence handed down by Judge Steven O’Neill of the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania court where Cosby, now 81 years old, was convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand 14 years ago.
CNN News reported “Montgomery County prosecutors asked a judge on Monday to sentence Cosby to five to 10 years in prison for the 2004 sexual assault of Andrea Constand, saying he had shown ‘no remorse’ for his actions.”
Though the charges each carry a maximum possible sentence of 10 years, Judge O’Neill announced that; “the charges had been merged into one because they all stem from the same event.”
Cosby Representatives claim that some who testified against him were “white women who make money off of accusing black men of being sexual predators,” and that “…it is important to point out that this has been the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States,” said Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s publicist.
After he was denied bail by Judge O’Neill, Cosby was seen being escorted out of the court room in handcuffs.
