And on this day in 1956 – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and many others were indicted for their roles in the Montgomery bus boycott.
And on this day in 1960 – Wilt Chamberlain hit 58 points as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the New York Nix. It was the fourth time he hit 50 points that season.
And on this day in 1961 – Otis Boykin received the patent for an electrical resistor, the type used in most radios and televisions even to this day. And he went on to have a total of 26 patents and most were electrical.
