Fans Around the World Pray for Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin

Resting comfortably in hospice care with family in her Detroit home and receiving guests including Stevie Wonder and the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul is receiving prayers and uplifting messages from fans across the globe. According to Entertainment Weekly, Beyoncé and husband JAY-Z recently dedicated their Detroit concert to her.
Franklin’s star rose in the late 60’s with the hit songs “Respect,” “Think” and “Natural Woman.” In 1987 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and her record sales exceed 75 million worldwide.
