Justice for Jordan Edwards – Ex-Cop in North Texas Found Guilty of Murdering 15 Year-Old Unarmed Teenager

An emotional afternoon for the family of slain 15 year-old honor roll student and athlete Jordan Edwards turned to joyful tears and embraces as Judge Brandon Birmingham read the Dallas County jury’s guilty verdict.

According to the Dallas Morning News family Attorney Daryl Washington said “…the verdict meant more than justice for Jordan. It’s about Tamir Rice. It’s about Walter Scott. It’s about Alton Sterling,” he said. “It’s about every, every African-American, unarmed African-American, who has been killed and who has not gotten justice.”

Body camera footage made the difference in this case while Police Officer murder convictions are rare and unusual across the nation for similar indictments. Edwards was shot and killed instantly by then Balch Springs, Texas Police Officer Roy Oliver on April 29, 2017.
