The Bonham Exchange recently announced details on the upcoming memorial for owner Kenneth Garrett, who died earlier this month.

The remembrance will take place Monday, February 25 at 11 a.m. inside the club. At 12:30 p.m., it will move to nearby Davis Park in the River Road area where Garrett lived.

Directions, parking details and more information are available on the Bonham’s Facebook page.

Garrett, 69, died in his home on February 8. However, the iconic downtown dance club — a longtime center of LGBTQ nightlife — will remain open.

The business is owned by 1122 Corp., of which Garrett was owner and president.

A bail hearing is set for this afternoon in Chicago for “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett. He’s facing a felony charge of disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report.

Smollett, who is black and gay, set off a firestorm three weeks ago when he told police two men assaulted him in a racist and homophobic attack, complete with slurs, MAGA hats, the pouring of a chemical substance on him and a noose around his neck.

Now, police think Smollett paid two brothers to orchestrate the assault on him, a pair of law enforcement sources told CNN. Smollett denies playing any role in his attack.
