VIA Special Event Service Available to Trio of Downtown Events Nov. 2
Service offers round trip to cultural celebrations for just $5
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 25, 2019) — VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer convenient and affordable special event service to three cultural celebrations in the central business district Nov. 2, 2019: Alamo City Comic Con at the Grand Hyatt, Diwali San Antonio Festival of Lights in Hemisfair, and the Day of the Dead Festival in La Villita.
Special event service will be available from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd., to Market Street at Alamo Street beginning at noon on Saturday, November 2, and return service will continue until 11 p.m.
The special event fare is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. Customers may also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on the free VIA goMobile app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for special event service.
